La Cocina is a nonprofit incubator kitchen inspired by the ethnically diverse, economically vulnerable community we are surrounded by–food lies at the heart of the Mission and you don’t have to look far to find hidden entrepreneurs in the kitchen of many homes. La Cocina was created out of the belief that given the correct resources, these natural entrepreneurs can create self-sufficient businesses that benefit themselves, their families, and their community
La Cocina is currently home to thirty businesses and a growing number of graduates that represent all aspects of local food from gourmet catering to specialty products to farmers market stands. Through these “Corporate Options” we want to bring people from the Bay Area’s business community into our kitchen and our neighborhood and give them the opportunity to meet our micro-business owners and try their amazing products. We hope you’ll agree, once you get a taste of their food, just how much talent and passion these entrepreneurs pour into their work and into developing their ideas into businesses that support and sustain them economically and personally.
So, whether it’s team-building, intern-appeasing or simple fun you’re after, we’re pretty sure we can provide it. Contact us for more information, and let us help you plan your next great event with the chefs of La Cocina.
